    About Project

A bilingual newspaper that collects and re-tells stories about the clash of cultural identities in the United States, especially those between Latin American immigrants & the dominant culture. What makes this newspaper unique is how and what kind of information is collected. For each edition the stories are gathered in different ways, sometimes verbal, written or visual. For the first edition the information was collected in three different ways. First, by setting a coffee table in the middle of the sidewalk and engaging in conversations with people in a neighborhood with a considerable Latin American heritage. Secondly, by having email conversations with friends and friends of friends who live in the United States and came from Latin America. Lastly, by using Facebook chat to have similar conversations as the aforementioned ones. In all instances, the conversations circulate and address how language (verbal and visual) has been influenced by different cultures since the person moved to the United States.
