Nepal Travel Promotion Project

  • This project was focusing on promoting Nepal to travelers and travel agencies,
    including logotype design, promotion video, bank notes design, posters and a travel guide book.
    这个作品集由logo设计,视频剪辑,纸币设计,海报设计以及书籍设计组成,全部的设计作为一个整体来宣传尼泊尔的旅游业。
  • The logo design is inspired by Hindi language which is vastly used in Nepal, based on its form characteristics, I scatched the logo out and perfected logo over 20 times. As logotype design, it should not be comlicated but remain its exotic flavor.
    logo的设计是建立在当地广泛使用的印度语的基础上的,利用了印度语中字母的特点。
    我勾画出了最初的logo,然后逐个像素的修改了二十遍以上去完美它。
    作为国家logo的设计不应该复杂,以应对不同的印刷制品,但也应该保持这个国家的特色。

  • Bank Notes design
    What you can see in these designs are actual Nepal's traditional patterns and famous people from history. The mountain is Himalaya, the proud of Nepal, and also the Monkey temple, Nepal's signature. These choices are based on the interview with one taxi driver who's from Nepal in NYC.

    在这些设计中你所看到的是真正的的传统的尼泊尔的纹样,以及尼泊尔人民所自豪的历史上著名的尼泊尔人。
    你还能看到珠穆朗玛峰以及当地的地标侯庙。
    这所有元素的选择来源于一次偶遇,在NYC打车正好遇见了一位来自于尼泊尔的司机,于是我对他便进行了简单的采访。

  • Poster Design
    The first poster is an interesting one, it brings another layer of interaction to the view experience, while calling "getting closer", you actually will stand closer to read smaller words then find out in Nepal, you can stand "closer" to the sky, because it has toppest mountain in the world.
    第一幅海报设计很有意思,我尝试在平面媒体中加入了人机交互体验,在呼唤人站的更近一点的过程中,当人们走进时会发现可以阅读更小的字,最终发现,在尼泊尔,因为拥有世界最高的山峰,你可以站的离天空更近一些。
  • The second poster has only one topic, you will miss all the excitements if you are just standing outside of Nepal's biggest festival.
    The contrast of inside and outside, colors and mono creates the curiosity which drives viewer wanting to find out more about Nepal.
    第二张海报只有一个主题,你如果只是站在门外的话,你错过的将会是尼泊尔最大的节日,洒红节的所有激情。
    门内外的对比,彩色和单色的对比都让人产生想要去一探究竟的好奇心。
  • Travel Guide Design
    The design of the cover shows a young monk looking right at the camera from the back of a curtain also triggers viewers curiosity, 
    the urge of wanting to communicate to this monk and finding out what's behind that curtain.
    Nepal has always been a mystery to most westerners. But you could start from this book.
    The rest of this book uses simple but beautiful layouts and large spreads to show the beauty of Nepal.
    书的封面设计是一张从帘幕后张望的小和尚的照片,眼睛盯着镜头,
    让人产生了极大的好奇心,想去与他交流,更想找寻帘幕后面的世界会是何样?
    尼泊尔对于西方来说一直是一个神秘的国度,但是一切了解都可以从这本书开始。
    整本书都由简单高雅的排版以及双页的照片组成,展现尼泊尔的美是第一目的。
