The Memory Pocket is inspired by family walls. It is a hanging storage for families to showcase their joyful moments. The upper pockets provide parents a temporary spot to store digital devices, and the bottom section is in easy reach for children’s toy.
From the paper to the felt, various mockups were made to test different proportion of pockets.
The Memory Pocket provides sections for decorating and storing on walls. The bottom part can be removed and works as a toy’s bag.
The process of prototype making included a lot of pattern making and test sewing. The first full-size prototype was made for visualizing the right proportion of each section and the overall size. Because of the first prototype, the final one could be finished more accurately.
The hooks are on the top for hanging accessories. The big pockets fit magazine nicely as well as the small ones are suitable for phones. Children can easily remove the bottom section for carrying toys.
