Golden-i Illustrations

  • When we worked on the Golden-I headset computer (started back in 2008), during its first round of exploring the feasibility of the entire project, we created all the storyboards shown here. At this stage we had a few working prototypes built and in some cases in customers' hands for exploration for their applications.

The purpose of these storyboards was two-fold:

    a) create a VISION of the the power of G-I, show the possible usage scenarios and have the customers derive applications from these simple, yet powerful one pagers.

    b) create internal stakeholder awareness and excitement for the program

It seemed to have the desired impact as the project kept going forward, despite all odds...
This panel shows the power of wearable computing where a doctor in a crisis center has all critical information projected right in front of his face through peer-to-peer communication with the global support team...
  • Yes, some of these may be over-the-top, but that's the point...
You have to envision what 'might' be, rather than what currently 'is'
How great would it be if firefighters had localized inbuilding GPS maps and live stats of colleagues in front of their faces during the rescue mission?! Saving lives...
  • Serve & protect scenario
  • Architects and foreman on the job communicate via pdf maps, projections and Augmented Reality, no longer via plotted scrolls of paper hunched over a table...
  • Crisis mode rescue...
  • Nevertheless, we were allowed to go even a bit more over the top :)
Fun stuff, great collaborations between many talented and visionary people...
  • Catching baddies...
  • One day soon we'll see a service guy showing up on your doorstep with a wearable, doing his thing...
