Photos of my project from this past summer's Hennessy X Pratt collaboration. A small group of past and current Pratt students from all disciplines were asked to make projects based on Hennessy's mantra: Never Stop, Never Settle. This was my contribution.
For me, ‘Never Stop, Never Settle,’ is about constantly re-inventing myself. It means never being complacent with one style or method, and instead–like mutating cells–always evolving, adapting, and changing. For this project, I recorded and distorted footage of my blood cells. The videos, projected onto milk, respond to random stimulus, creating a constantly evolving, organic experience. Partially subjected to chance, Fluid is also about surrendering to the chaos, and embracing imperfection and instability.
